The Armenian Evangelical Brethren Church believes that God is a God of mission. That His mission since the creation of the world was to “bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.” (Ephesians 1:10). And also that it is through His people that God will bless the nations and people around them, “all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:3) Therefore as true believers in Christ and recipients of God’s mercy in Him, we also must live out our faith by looking to the needs of others, as James says, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” (1:27).

In light of this understanding we seek to be a light in this world by preaching the good news of Jesus that presents hope for all humanity and also showing His love by caring for people’s physical needs. Being an Armenian church in the west, we are uniquely positioned to be able to offer assistance to many in Armenia who do not have access to the resources which we enjoy here. This led to the founding of the Armenian Christian Mission as the mission wing of our church which has been involved in Armenia since 1998.
